Malcolm Farris of Brookfield, Nova Scotia has finished 1st at the 2023 Sun Peaks Big Air Canada Cup (Male)!
The Sun Peaks Canada Cup took place from January 12th to January 15th, 2023. Freestyle Ski Canada Cup events are sanctioned by Freestyle Canada and are a national competition circuit preparing athletes for the international stage. They were created to support a competitive and sustainable domestic tour where freestyle athletes from across Canada can develop their competitive skills and gain critical national and international FIS points.
Farris (17 years old) competed against 67 other athletes in the Big Air discipline, ranging in ages from 12-20. Farris continues his impressive development, with a gold at the 2022 Freestyle Canada Jr. Nationals and making the finals at the 2022 Sun Peaks Canada Cup.
Other notable Freestyle Nova Scotia athlete finishes include Marley Eisner 8th place and Anwyn Tillett 10th in Big Air (Female).
